You are invited to join Stephanie Watson and Emily Goodwin to discuss and explore the important topic of relaxation and stress release.
You will explore the "art" of relaxation with Stephanie, who has taught Yoga and relaxation techniques for two decades. She will share with you:
effective ways to set-up your students comfortably
effective tone, pacing
holding space for students
creating and/or utilizing scripts
Emily, an experienced Yoga Teacher and Occupational Therapist, will share the more "science" aspects of relaxation with topics such as:
the relaxation response
the stress response
the Vagus Nerve
the physiology of relaxation
Together, Stephanie and Emily cover the Eastern and Western perspectives to rest in a way that will help you understand the importance of relaxation more deeply. In turn, this will help you guide your students more effectively as well as share the many benefits of this restorative practice.
