Speaker - Andy Chapman. From the Neolithic, he will move on to the Bronze Age and the Iron Age, with Hunsbury Hill providing the only surviving upstanding prehistoric earthwork. The Romans will get a brief mention before he explores the Anglo-Saxon origins of the town in some detail. He will finish with the rise, fall and eventual demolition of Northampton’s royal Castle.The meeting starts at 7:30pm, so please make sure you arrive before then.
There will be a suggested donation of £5 at the door to cover room rental and refreshments.
