Step inside history with Take a Hike’s very first indoor walking tour!
Join us as we explore The Arcade, Cleveland’s crown jewel and a designated National Historic Landmark. Often called “Cleveland’s Crystal Palace,” this breathtaking structure opened in 1890 as one of America’s first indoor shopping centers. With its soaring glass skylight, ornate ironwork, and elegant five-story atrium, The Arcade remains one of the finest examples of Victorian architecture in the nation.
This tour explores the Arcade’s interior architectural innovations, its place in Cleveland’s history, and the 2001 restoration effort that revitalized the building, ensuring its preservation for generations to come.
