The Arc Caddo-Bossier is proud to announce its annual Leadership Luncheon, scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) Ballroom and hosted by Emmy award-wining journalist Jacque Jovic.The Leadership Luncheon has become a cornerstone event for The Arc Caddo-Bossier, celebrating civic leaders, donors, and the organization's mission of building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities. This year's keynote speaker, Alycia Anderson, embodies this mission as a global advocate for disability inclusion and accessibility.
Keynote Speaker: Alycia Anderson
Anderson, a motivational speaker and champion of disability inclusion, was born with Sacral Agenesis, a condition where the spinal cord is underdeveloped at the sacrum. As a wheelchair user since birth, she has transformed her personal experience into a powerful platform for change, inspiring audiences worldwide to create more inclusive communities and aspire for a more equitable world.
"Alycia is a true architect of inclusion, and her message firmly aligns with our mission of building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities," said Arc Caddo-Bossier Executive Director, Kristen Powers. "The Arc Caddo-Bossier is excited to welcome her to the Shreveport-Bossier community for our annual Leadership Luncheon."
Anderson serves as a Global Keynote Speaker, Disability Advocate, Accessibility Strategist, Podcast Host, and CEO. She empowers workplaces worldwide through her keynotes and workshops while hosting the Pushing Forward with Alycia podcast. Her impressive credentials include a Master's Degree in Adaptive Physical Activity and a position on California's Insurance Diversity Task Force, where she holds the inaugural seat as the first Persons with Disabilities Business Enterprise Representative.
Her work and story have garnered national attention, being featured by TEDx, Los Angeles Times, CNBC, CBS News, and Authority Magazine's Female Disruptors series. Anderson has partnered with over 200 brands including Microsoft, Victoria's Secret, Netflix, International Paralympic Committee, and Etsy, and modeled at NYC Fashion Week 2024. Known for "right-sizing" everyday obstacles, Anderson opens minds to a world of possibility. And that's how she rolls.

The Arc Caddo-Bossier
The Arc Caddo-Bossier's story began in 1954 when a group of dedicated parents sought to create more opportunities for their children with disabilities. Believing in their children's potential to learn and develop skills, these parents took action themselves, founding what would eventually become The Arc Caddo-Bossier's Goldman School and Child Development Centers.
Today, The Arc Caddo-Bossier serves people of all ages and their families through comprehensive programs including:

- Residential services with eight Community Homes and Community Living Supports and Services (CLSS)

The Arc Caddo-Bossier's mission is building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities. Through various programs and services, the organization serves people of all ages and their families in the Caddo-Bossier area, carrying forward the vision of those pioneering parents who believed in unlimited potential more than 70 years ago.
