Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or new to the game you can enjoy a day on the links when The Arc Baltimore hosts its 31st Annual Golf Tournament part of the organization’s yearlong 75th anniversary celebration.
Benefitting the programs and services The Arc Baltimore provides to support adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families the Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Monday May 12 at The Country Club of Maryland (1101 Stevenson Lane in Towson Maryland).
The Tournament will feature a shotgun start at noon preceded by registration and a putting contest at 10:30 a.m. and lunch beginning at 11 a.m. Cocktails heavy hors d' oeuvres and the annual silent auction will follow the close of the tournament.
“The Arc Baltimore’s Annual Golf Tournament is not only our largest and most eagerly anticipated annual event but also one of our most successful fundraisers contributing nearly $100000 each year to programs and services which enable people with developmental disabilities to live independently work in meaningful jobs and enjoy friendships and activities in the community” says Kathleen McNally Durkin the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.
Since 1949 The Arc Baltimore has been supporting people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging purpose and meaningful relationships. With more than 800 full- and part-time employees The Arc Baltimore provides employment training and support day and residential services family support and education treatment foster care assistive technology services respite care and public policy advocacy.
As in past years the Annual Golf Tournament will feature many of the highlights regular participants have come to expect from 18 holes of golf and special holes to opportunities to win individual team and door prizes.
Golfers will also have a chance to enjoy The Country Club of Maryland one of the few remaining golf courses in the Mid-Atlantic built during the golden age of architecture. Completed in 1925 the course features a layout of gentle rolling terrain highlighted by streams and natural woodlands.
Sponsorship opportunities for The Arc Baltimore’s 31st Annual Golf Tournament ranging from as low as $250 to as high as $15000 for the Presenting sponsor level are now open.
