THE APRICOTS: instagram.com/apricotstheband

The Apricots, formally known as Pacific Trio, are an emerging Portland project serving their own sweet, glossy sounds that are hard to pin to one genre. Eve Goldman, Molly Evered and Chloé Serkissian started their trio in 2017, but when percussionist/audio engineer Courtney Layacan joined them onstage in 2019, they finally felt like they’d found their sound.

After the group took some time for rest and reflection in 2020, the four women reunited under The Apricots. Their sound is influenced from all directions, from indie rock to alternative soul while finding their center in sweet-like-honey harmonies. Paired with driving percussion and melodic bass, The Apricots hope to make you swoon one minute and groove the next. The Apricots will be releasing their first two singles this summer, and plan to follow with their debut EP in 2022.

LARSEN GARDENS: www.larsen-gardens.com/

In her unreleased debut album MOONFLOWER, Seattle-based artist Larsen Gardens paints an intimate portrait of transformation. Blossoming with the warmth and care required to look within, the work really becomes an alchemical reflection of what it’s like to shine light into a shadowy place. And transforming into what, we learn, is hardly as important as respecting the path by which to get there. After a decade spent living in Nashville and surviving a life-altering stint working for a major label, a move back to the West coast in 2017 proved grounding and distinctly necessary to a slow but powerful unleashing of self. And with all the myriad colors and dreamscapes with which to paint any unfolding, MOONFLOWER is as lush and pleasant as it is powerful and boldly embraces the mysteries of self-dimensionality in its many intimate and shifting flavors.
