Come learn one of the oldest textile arts in the world – naalbinding. Textiles created with this technique have been found the world over and date back to 6500 BCE. Naalbinding, literally “needle binding” in Norwegian, is a yarn looping technique using a single needle.In this class we will learn the basics of naalbinding to make a hat using the Oslo stitch. No prior experience is required, just a good attitude and a willingness to learn. Students should plan to work on their project in the day between classes so they can troubleshoot issues with the instructor on the second day of class
