Stop in Richard Boyd Art Gallery in April to see a wonderful annual exhibition of landscape paintings. Visual art portraying landscapes has been around for centuries and remains one of the most collected. Whether created en plein air to capture the natural light and color in the area or in a studio setting using a sketch or photograph as a reference each painting represents the artist’s vision of that place in time.
The exhibit is comprised of paintings expressing feelings associated with wilderness areas micro-studies of nature and realistic landscape paintings depicting the artist’s interpretation of a specific scene or a detailed rendering of the landscape before them.
The exhibition features a stunning selection of paintings by highly regarded award-winning and established artists Jane Herbert - acrylic Deena S. Ball - watercolor or oil Patricia Chandler - cold wax medium and oil Carrin Culotta - oil Kevin Daley - oil Tim Eaton - oil or mixed media Richard H. Eyster - watercolor Kenneth Mancini - oil and HM Saffer II - oil.
