The Amarna Letters: A One-Day de Bragança Endowed Symposium
The GWU Capital Archaeological Institute and the Department of Classical and Ancient Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the George Washington University presents a one-day, de Bragança endowed symposium dedicated to the Amarna Letters, a collection of diplomatic correspondence from the 14th century BCE that provides a unique glimpse into the political landscape of the ancient Near East. Scholars from around the globe will present their latest research on these significant texts. The schedule and list of speakers is detailed below:
