The Alabama Troubadours will bring “The Music of John Prine” to life at The Princess on Friday, August 1. This tribute shows deep reverence for Prine, one of the most influential songwriters of all time and an American treasure.
The band is comprised of a stellar lineup of musical veterans: Rick Carter (Rollin’ in The Hay and Telluride), Stan Foster (Rollin’ in the Hay and Phil and Foster), Donna Hall (Wet Willie), and William “Moose” Harrell (Jason Ringenberg and Telluride). They perform
sweet songs and melancholy melodies of love, life, and social commentary in genuine Prine style – with honesty.
Carter is authentic in his role as one of his musical heroes. Donna Hall, a member of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Georgia Music Hall of Fame, is a stunning complement perfecting the Prine duets. With Foster on bass and harmony vocals and Harrell on acoustic, electric, lap steel guitars, and harmony vocals, these world-class musicians deliver a powerful, must-see experience.
