Shudan Judo Club are proud to host the AJA East MIdland Area Judo Masterclass with Team GB's Dan Powell shortly after his return from the Paris 2024 Paralympics.Best of luck to Dan as he competes!
Dan is an exceptional coach with a distinguished career in Judo. He made his Paralympic debut at the 2012 London Games, where he earned an impressive 7th place finish. His journey in the sport has been nothing short of remarkable, accumulating numerous medals along the way. Dan competed in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, where he narrowly missed securing a bronze medal, demonstrating his resilience and skill on the international stage.
Since then, Dan has continued to achieve international success, securing silver medals at the World Champion- ships, European Championships, and the Egypt Grand Prix. In addition to these achievements, he has earned several bronze medals at other prestigious international competitions.
Beyond the mat, Dan is also known for being the first visually impaired contestant to take part in Ninja Warrior UK, showcasing his incredible determination and athleticism across different platforms.

Please note that this is an AJA East MIdlands Area event so priority will be given to AJA members, however judo clubs from other organisations and who are local to Shudan are welcome to attend on invitation.
The event entry fee is NOT included in Shudan Judo Membership.
