The Afrobeatniks draw their inspiration from the source: the popular, folkloric and spiritual music of Africa. The ancient rhythms that have traveled through time and space have now morphed into the grooves and melodies the Afrobeatniks provide, through their mutual passion for the complex and dance inducing West African, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Latin Jazz music

Founded in 2023 in Durango, Colorado, The BluPhunk Collective is a high-energy band performing an eclectic blend of blues, funk, R&B, with a sprinkling of rock and hip jazz. Significantly influenced by artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Tower of Power, James Brown, Kenny Wayne Shepard, and numerous other blues, rock, and jazz giants, audiences love their unique blend of house-rocking energy and artistry.
The band includes several members familiar to music-lovers in the Four Corners region, including Chad MacCluskey on bass, Jared Wright - trumpet, Jeff Nelson - guitar, Michelle Wagner - sax, Dave Luna - vocals, and Mike Wingo - drums.
