About this Event

Join us for year three of this festival that brings together people from the motherland and the diaspora. Shop from black owned businesses carrying products for, beauty, home décor, art, clothing and information necessary for community building. Try foods from East and West Africa and network with people doing great things locally and around the globe for the liberation of Black citizens. If you believe Black Lives Matter, this is the event for you.

This event is outdoors, but masks are required to use indoor facilities such as restrooms.


Street parking available on Oakdale, around Olmsted Linear Park and wherever it can be found.
Children 17 and under free.

1:00 PM- Spoken Word by Poet Patrick Duncan

1:30 PM- Panel Discussion "Beyond the Year of the Return :Exploring Deeper Connections with Africa"

2:30 PM- Play Pan Afrikan Theatre presents: "Nguzo Babies" led by Ms. Ashley (Kids tent)

3:00 PM- Music Performance- Josey Fuller

3:30 PM-African Honoring Ceremony for Fonta High and Dee Smith

4:00 Music Performance with Nigerian Afro-folk soul singer Tosinger and Bayo Bello

4:30 PM- African Drum and Dance with Djoli Kelen Inc

5:00 PM- Tyme Flyte Band

6:30 PM- Market Closes
