About this Event
The mission of The Actors Academy is to awaken the imagination, emotion, and intellect of the student artist by making him/her aware of the transforming power and universality of performance arts; and the skills required to achieve excellence.
We provide a platform for directors, acting coaches, casting agents, producers, and filmmakers to teach the techniques needed to develop and sustain a great performing arts career.
This session will tap into the wealth of talent that dwells in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area (DMV). Within this vibrant community, we have directors, actors, producers, and artists who bring a multitude of talents to the table. This class will provide comprehensive information on various aspects of the acting craft, enabling you to harness and develop a variety of your unique abilities. Join us as we tap in to enhance all of your individual talents in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Location: The Motor House 120 W. North Ave. Baltimore MD. 21201 (Theatre or West Bay)

Class Title: The Art of Greenscreen Performance
Director: Dexter Brains (Brains Concept Studios)
Class Description: Acting on greenscreen is a special skill within performance. In this class participants will work on greenscreen and learn the unique skills required for acting in an environment where much of the scenery and action will be added in post-production. Actors will practice using their imagination through visualization techniques to interact convincingly with elements that aren't physically present.

Class Description: Everybody has a story to tell. What's yours? This class focuses on empowering film artists and actors to turn their grand ideas into reality by creating their own independent films. Many have brilliant concepts but lack the knowledge to produce a film. This course will provide the essential tools and techniques needed to bring their vision to life. Students will learn about scriptwriting, directing, and distribution. Through this class you will gain the skills necessary to create your perfect independent film and share your stories with the world.

Class Description: Partnering in scene is akin to a dance, requiring a balance of give and take. This acting class will delve into the dynamics of partnering in a scene, emphasizing how to create and sustain energy between scene partners. You'll learn to listen actively and avoid stepping over your partner's lines, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. We'll engage in script reading and physical movement exercises with partners to refine these skills. Enhance your ability to work seamlessly with a scene partner.
