The New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce's NB Business University Presents a Luncheon Seminar.
About this Event

The luncheon will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the McKenna Events Center.
“The ABC’s of SBA Lending” will feature presenters Misty Jurecek & Sean O'Connor of American Bank. The seminar will include details on the commonly used SBA loan programs, general underwriting criteria, and how small businesses can prepare applying for credit.

Tickets to the seminar are discounted for Chamber Members at $30 and available to the General Public at $35.
Lunch is provided by UBP Burgers.

Meet Our Speakers:

Misty Jurecek
Misty Jurecek, SBA Operations Manager of American Bank is a seasoned SBA lender with over 34 years of commercial banking experience.

After twenty years with Wells Fargo Bank Business Banking Division as a Commercial Relationship Lender with a niche in SBA Lending, Misty successfully re-launched the American Bank SBA division in 2018 which included re-writing SBA internal policy and creating the internal end-to-end SBA loan process.

Career highlight includes leadership of the American Bank Payroll Protection Program from 2020 to 2021. Under her leadership the bank was able to fund 1,600 PPP loans totaling $235MM which assisted to retain over 25,000 jobs during the pandemic.

Misty is very passionate about connecting small business entrepreneurs with resources to help grow and succeed as they are the backbone to the communities in which she serves.

In her spare time, Misty spends the most with her two-year-old grandson, Nolan.

Sean O'Connor

Sean O'Connor has a banking career that spans more than 15 yeas and includes experience in commercial and retail banking. Sean enjoys helping small business owners, real estate investors, and nonprofit organizations with their credit needs.

Born and raised in Austin, TX, New Braunfels has been his home for 14 years. Guitar, traveling and playing outside with family is what Sean enjoys doing outside of work. He's also particpated as Treasurer for the Scouts BSA for six years and is active at his local church.
