BEMS are excited to be hosting four weeks of practical workshops and simulation led by doctors, paramedics and nurses that caters for those with no past experience of Emergency Medicine and those with lots, so suits all years whether you are a pre-clinical or clinical student! The first three weeks are all about building your confidence and knowledge to be able to approach an acutely unwell patient, and be able to carry out an A to E assessment. In the sessions we will lay the foundation of knowledge for the theme of the week and then you will get the opportunity to get stuck in, ask questions and learn how to use a variety of equipment you will find both in and out-of-hospital!
At the very end of the series you will be able to consolidate all that you have learnt and take part in an Emergency and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine simulation evening! Expect a night of fun, exciting scenarios that will stretch and challenge you but show that you really can approach that trauma or medical patient with more confidence than you imagined you could!
