The 518 Concert Series welcomes GET ZEP! as Super Group makes their Glove Theatre debut! “When you take the musical ability of Super 400 and mix it with the powerful voice of Sean, you get something special. If there is anybody who is able to perform Zeppelin tunes to the highest ability, it’s these guys.” - Frankie Cavone, Mirth Films
“For those of you fortunate enough to attend their show, you would have witnessed Troy favorites Super 400 with guest vocalist, Sean, Matthew Whiteford, figuratively reduce the venue
to rubble.” - Mark Hudson, Nippertown
Get Zep! is an upstate supergroup that consists of the power trio Super 400, along with vocalist Sean Matthew Whiteford. Together, the group performs the songs of Led Zeppelin -- some of the most powerful music in Rock n Roll history.
Since their first show in the summer of 2022, Get Zep! has performed to feverish crowds in New York's Hudson Valley and Capital Region. All of their 2023 venue concerts were played to sold out rooms. Super 400 has toured the US and Europe many times on the strength of their original music.
Sean Matthew Whiteford has been a prominent performer, producer, and international vocal coach for over 15 years. Sean is a featured vocalist with NYC's powerhouse rock bands Party
Rock and Jessie's Girl, and with Virtual Journey Band on YouTube, where his performances have been praised by several members of Journey. At 17, he founded his rock and roll theatre company, Castaway Productions (est. 2005), which was born in Woodstock. He is also the writer and creator of his own 1980s horror rock extravaganza, Girlfriend From Hell: The Musical, which DC Metro Theatre Arts praised "has the makings of a rock-musical cult classic.”
Here is journalist Mark Hudson's take on the Get Zep! Experience: "They inhabit the music of Led Zeppelin with an astounding and bewildering ease, as only true devotees can. Kenny Hohman on guitar doesn’t just mimic Jimmy Page. He plays those iconic riffs and solos perfectly while throwing in some extra licks of his own like sly curveballs from a knowing pitcher. Bassist Lori Friday keeps everything rooted with a lush carpet of funk, always rock steady while she executes those tricky runs. And Joe Daley has his drums set on stun, channeling the late John Bonham’s blast furnace yet intricate approach."
Robert Plant is/was one of the most distinctive and original front-men in rock. Whiteford wisely does not try to imitate him, rather he interprets the songs with his own bravura spin, showcasing his impressive range and sometimes hitting notes even higher than the original!
21+ to drink with valid I.D.
