About this Event
The Clement A. Price Institute presents:
The 46th Annual Marion Thompson Wright Lecture Series:
Beyond Time: Ancient Africa, History and the Black Imagination.
Join us in person or virtually on Saturday, February 21, 2026 (9:30 AM) for the 46th MTW lecture Series at the Paul Robeson Campus Center, Rutgers University, Newark Campus.
The 2026 MTW will, no doubt, strengthen the sense of community that has always invigorated this program. Our forty-sixth series titled"Beyond Time: Ancient Africa, History and the Black Imagination" explores the history of the African continent before the arrival of European explorers. This coming February, we will reflect on some of the foundational elements of ancient African history, while also considering the ways in which African descended people around the world imagine the continent's past to fortify their visions for the future.
Right after the lecture series please join us at the Newark Museum of Art for our reception, where the Bradford Hayes Quartet will perform live to celebrate the 46th installment of the Marion Thompson Wright Lecture Series.
