The Merimbula Jazz Festival brings together jazz musicians young and old from right across Australia! Hear all styles from big band, swing, modern, funk, fusion and mainstream to traditional and ragtime across four fabulous days.With seven venues within walking distance and around 100 bands on offer, there's plenty for everyone. Ticketed music sessions start on Friday night.
Saturday morning head to Merimbula RSL Club for our free Official Festival Opening. Ticketed music sessions run from 11am-11pm!
Don't miss our fabulous Youth Jazz Quest, one of the highlights of the festival showcasing and promoting young jazz Musicians! Community Bank Pambula and Bega proudly supports the Youth Jazz Quest with generous cash prizes.
A successful feature of the festival is our Vocal workshops led by Leisa Keen. Be part of the program by participating in either the Gospel workshop and/or the Jazz Swing Workshop. Whether you sing professionally or only in the shower, this is great fun for everyone!
Sunday has another 12 hours of ticketed music sessions, then Monday's free Jazz Party at Club Sapphire from 11am-4pm rounds out Australia's longest running jazz festival!
The Merimbula Jazz Festival is a not-for-profit event, run by volunteers, keeping jazz alive since 1981. Merimbula is the place to be over the June Long Weekend.
