On behalf of Troy United Women’s League (TUWL), I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for accepting our invitation to speak at our upcoming 37th Annual Black History Banquet. The event will be Saturday, February 28, 2026, 6:00 pm, on the campus of Troy University, in the Trojan Center, Lamar P. Higgins Ballrooms, in Troy Alabama.
We are truly honored to have you join us and grateful for your willingness to share in this special occasion and are grateful for your willingness to share your voice and message with our community.
It was 36 years ago, in February, that we hosted our very first Black History Banquet, during the celebration of the “Year of the Alabama Reunion,” we were deeply honored to welcome the late, Congressman John Lewis as our keynote speaker that evening. His words left a lasting impact on our organization and the community. Since that time, we have been blessed to welcome many distinguished guests who have helped us reflect on our history, honor our heritage and embrace our future.
