The 2nd Annual Women's Winter Fishing Workshop is a 5-day program designed for women interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in freshwater and saltwater fishing. The workshop will cover various topics such as fish habitats, tide charts and navigation, boating safety, fish species, fish anatomy, fishing gear, fish conservation, fishing rules and regulations, fishing ethics, and healthy fish recipes. Here's the workshop agenda:
Thursday, January 2 - Fish Habitats, Tide Charts & Navigation, and Boating Safety - Freshwater and saltwater habitats, aquatic plants, fish diets, and ecosystems will be discussed. Reading Tide charts, navigation, and boating safety.
Wednesday, January 8 - Fish 101 - An overview of Florida fish species and fish anatomy will be provided.
Wednesday, January 15 - Fishing Gear - This workshop will focus on reviewing fishing gear, including fishing poles and tackle.
Wednesday, January 22 - Fish Conservation, Fishing Rules and Regulations, and Fishing Ethics
Wednesday, January 29 - Pier Fishing - Location TBA
