On Saturday, February 21, 2026, we will host our 28th Annual Kelsey Marie Meekhof Memorial Dinner and Auction at The Armory in South Bend (727 S Eddy Street). This event, celebrating inclusion, acceptance, and greater independence, is not just a significant milestone for Reins of Life, but also a testament to the impact of our collective efforts. As we continue to grow as an organization, our goals remain the same: develop and nurture the full potential of all people involved, offer programs that maximize the potential of equine-assisted services to benefit the communities we serve, and educate the community about the benefits of equine-assisted services. This event gives Reins an outlet to talk about the inimitable partnership of a human and a horse and the benefits one can derive from equine-assisted activities.
Thanks to people like Kelsey and her family, great things have happened at Reins. We are grateful for Dr. Mark and Carla Meekhof, our Chairpersons, along with Chuck Freeby, who will return as our auctioneer. The evening is enjoyable and memorable because of the dedication and generosity of people for whom the well-being of our organization is so important. The event allows families to share their stories and the magnitude of Reins of Life's impact. It provides our sponsors with a platform to showcase their devotion to our community.
Together, we can help those most in need unlock new and beautiful abilities, gain confidence, and reach greater independence. Our gratitude for your support exceeds what words can express. We hope that you will help us change the lives of individuals with disabilities in our community.
