Johnson Models of Hope Award recognizes individuals and organizations who serve as inspiring role models in the community. The History of Models of Hope: Since 2006, the LGBTQ community has participated in this intimate ceremony to provide feedback on who they believe should receive this award. The selection process is carefully considered, ensuring that a variety of individuals, businesses, and organizations are recognized each year, resulting in a distinguished list of honorees. The award is named after Vincent R. Johnson, an Albuquerque businessman & entrepreneur who elevated nightlife and events in the community while supporting organizations such as Youth Development Inc. and Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Mexico.
