We are extremely excited to announce the first ever Journeyman’s bikepacking event, called the “Get Lost Loop”! This is a mixed terrain route with 200 and 100 mile options, both of which start and end at the Journeyman’s shop at 6 am on Saturday, May 25th. Check in is between 5:00-5:30 am, and coffee/donuts will be provided at the start. There is a $20 sign up fee, and registered riders get a 20% Journeyman’s discount off various items. The Get Lost Loop is a completely self supported bikepacking ride. This means no one will be there to hand you tasty snacks, fix your busted up bike, or tell you that everything is going to be ok. We’re not calling it a race, because we encourage folks to ride the route however they want. Pack a tent and ride it as an overnighter. Do it in 3 days. Hell, take a week off to ride it if you can! Or, for all you savages out there: embrace the gnar, charge up those lights, and blast through this thing in one shot! We’ll publish the results on the Journeyman’s site, and all confirmed finishers will earn an exclusive ride completion patch.
This route gets pretty funky at times, and the experience of riding it will very likely live up to its name. If you’ve ever found yourself on a bike while cold, wet, exhausted, and unsure of where you’re going, only to suddenly realize that you’re having the time of your life.. then this route is definitely for you! Or on the flip side, if you’ve ever wanted to push yourself to ride further, or maybe even just crank out a bunch of “party pace” miles with some friends.. then this route is also for you! So don’t think twice. Pump up those tires, lube that dusty chain, sign up, and be ready to GET LOST!
