Join Historian-in-Residence Cormac Moore to commemorate the centenary of the signing of The Anglo-Irish Treaty on December 6th 1921.
About this Event

On the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty, the talk will look at the negotiations between Sinn Féin and the British government from October to December 1921 which culminated in the signing of the Treaty on the morning of 6th December 1921 in London. It will analyse the main issues negotiated and the fallout from its signing.

Cormac Moore is the Dublin City Council Historian-in-Residence for the North Central Area. He has published a number of Irish history books including 'The Irish Soccer Split' (2015) and 'Birth of the Border: The Impact of Partition in Ireland' (2019).
