About this Event
Join us on Saturday, October 4th for a showcase of the 1920s Arts Experience, featuring music, dance, and a film screening with live musical accompaniment!
Rhythms of Grace dancers and Kairos College Dance Collective brings vintage moves such as the Foxtrot and Charleston to life. Dr. Jacob Womack, chair of Concord University's Department of Fine Arts & Communication on Piano will present selections of stride piano, a fast-paced improvisational style with ragtime roots. And finally, Dr. Womack will present musical accompaniment alongside a screening of Buster Keaton's short film The GOAT - a presentation that mirrors how moviegoers would have experienced the film in 1921!
