Join us October 3rd, 4th and 5th for the 16th annual CU Folk and Roots Festival in downtown Urbana, Illinois! Three days of performances, workshops, jams, dances, discussions, family friendly-all ages-children's programs, and a great time in Urbana, IL centered around music, arts, expression, creativity, and community.
Thursday, October 3rd, at 5pm, the fest kicks off at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Thereafter, we're off to the races! A full slate of performances, workshops and jams in downtown Urbana. Featuring 50+ acts in many venues!
Volunteer opportunities available - A four hour shift gets you a full festival wristband. The CUFRF is a non-profit organization, please get involved if ya want to!
All events on Thursday and Saturday daytime are free (this includes workshops, dances, family friendly programming, and performances.)

Single day and single venue tickets are only available day-of while tickets last at Festival Central which will be located at The Cohen Building, 136 W. Main St., in downtown Urbana.

The CU Folk and Roots Festival is a non-profit organization. The org's mission is to; Promote a feeling of community, create a nonpartisan and inclusive event that gathers together participants from diverse backgrounds and beliefs, gather the energy and dedication of local folk organizations and artists into a single celebration, promote and increase access to the folk arts, contribute to the artistic vitality of the area, bring attention and business to downtown Urbana, attract tourism to the greater Champaign-Urbana area, expose and involve residents to varied and exciting forms of arts and expression, and, last but not least, provide opportunities for focused and quality social interactions
