The Schedule for 2025All are invited to join us in celebrating the 14th anniversary of the Apparition of Our Lady in Woodstock NY on June 15 and June 16th, 2025.
There will be revelry, a rosary, festivities, and fun! Bring the family, bring some friends, come ready to pray and play! Come for all of it, a part of it, come to meet rosary friends and celebrate the Lady!
Sunday June 15: An Evening Celebration
7:30 pm – Washing of the Shrine and Rosary Prayers (children run the washing and are most welcome)
9 pm – NEW! Devotional Dancing to the Black Madonna under the tent, in the woods, amid the fireflies. Let the wild revelries begin! Bring costumes and masks. Bring face paint. Bring musical instruments—drums, guitars, woodwinds, accordions, your voice.
NOTE: Please reach out if you would like to help us imagine and prepare for these revelries. If you have any experience facilitating improv theater, let me know. I’d love to do some theater around one of the Mysteries each Feast Day. This year it’s the Annunciation. If you have costumes, you want to bring and share, let us know. If you are a musician, a dancer, a theatrical entrepreneur, a make up artist or a mask maker, get involved. Let’s revel! Message Perdita at [email protected]
(goal: young people say this is the best party ever and old people remember how to be young again.)
THE VIGIL
1:00 am – Vigil with Clark at the Statue
Join Clark, the owls, and the darkness to honor the moment the Lady first appeared to him. This will include a chant Clark will teach everyone.
Monday June 16: Daytime Celebrations
11 am – The Fair Begins!
Bring your wares to share and sell—but please note: the primary purpose of the Fair is low-key sharing and visiting and celebrating…not money-making.
We welcome artisans, rosary makers, writers, painters and sculptors, tarot readers, psychics, jugglers and stand-up rosary comics (a girl can dream…)
This year will also be focused on THE KIDS. We want them to love this fair and dream of coming back for the rest of their lives. There will be fun games for them (a spider web treasure hunt, a fishing game with prizes, a toss your worries to our Lady game (who can help me build it????), and a puppet show (who wants to do this) with lots of silliness….This year our focus is The Annunciation can we have lots of laugh-filled unforgettable fun around this mystery for the kids? Message me at [email protected])
Also if you have a childhood fair game you want help make happen, PLEASE let me know.
There will also be a flower crown making table. Bring stuff to share!
The Faire is geared towards our littlest rose buds and our tweens not commerce.
1:00 pm – Pot Luck Feasting and Introductions under the Tent (as we get closer we’ll coordinate food, stay tuned in this newsletter)
3:00 pm – A Full Rosary with all those in attendance and On Zoom
4:30 pm – Sacred Chit Chat with Dessert, Tea and Coffee
Getting to Woodstock, New York
• Woodstock is an hour from Albany International Airport, and two+ hours from JFK, Laguardia, and Newark.
• There is an Adirondak Trailways bus that takes people to downtown Woodstock from Port Authority. There is more regular service to Kingston, NY, 20 minutes away.
• There is an Amtrak Train from Penn Station to Rhinecliff, NY, 30 minutes away.
• There are overpriced cabs at the bus and train stations. Woodstock does not have Uber or Lyft as far as I know.
Staying in or near Woodstock, New York
Woodstock is a tourist hot spot with lots of variously priced hotels, motels and Air Bnb accommodations. The Facebook group (link) is a great place to look for house shares.
Kingston and Saugerties tend to have slightly cheaper choices.
Woodstock also has a number of official camping locations (Wilson State Park) and lots of forest and fields and streams for the more adventurous outdoor folks.
