About this Event
The 14th Annual Integrated Computing and STEM Education Conference addresses the issues related to teaching integrated computing, science, technology, engineering, and math (C-STEM) in K-12 and the created synergy which increases student interest and helps them learn STEM subjects. The conference provides a forum for K-12 STEM teachers, researchers, educators, policy makers, and industrial partners to discuss and influence the future direction of integrated computing and STEM education.
The theme of this year's conference is Accelerating Student Achievement in Math, CS, and Engineering.
The conference offers a first-hand opportunity to examine the groundbreaking work of the C-STEM Center on Integrated Computing and STEM Education in formal, afterschool, and informal settings and review the evidence for their impact on increasing student motivation and achievement in STEM subjects, closing the achievement gap, and improving college and career-readiness skills.
We will be presenting awards for C-STEM Educators and Schools, including C-STEM Teacher of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Superintendent of the Year, and Distinguished C-STEM School Awards. They are recognized for their exceptional contributions and inspiring students to pursue careers and post-secondary study in C-STEM fields. Award recipients are selected by the C-STEM Awards Committee, consisting of the university faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
For the first time, we will host a Pre-Conference on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 1pm-5pm. Also, a Networking Reception will be held for all Pre-Conference and Conference attendees from 6pm-7:30pm.
