
The Asia Pro Bono Conference and Access to Justice Exchange (APBC & A2JX) is a trademark of the Asia region. Beginning in 2012 in the Lao PDR the Asia Pro Bono Conference & Access to Justice Exchange is held each year to emphasize and celebrate pro bono and access to justice initiatives being conducted throughout Asia and globally.
The APBC & A2JX has become the largest annual gathering of persons supporting or engaged in access to justice pro bono and public interest law in Asia. The event provides a key opportunity for stakeholders to develop explore and share pro bono and access to justice initiatives and projects that strengthen justice and Rule of Law in Asia and internationally.
This year the 13th Asia Pro Bono Conference (“13APBC”) occurring from 3-5 October 2025 in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia (and partially virtual). The 13APBC will be a type of hybrid event being both an in-person event and will afford semi-limited additional virtual participation. It will host a multitude of diverse sessions interactive workshops and presentations related to pro bono contexts.
The Access to Justice Exchange (“A2JX”) occurring from 1-2 October and 6-8 October 2025 will be held in person (and partially virtual) and will consist as a series of workshops forums and roundtables focusing on access to justice and the rule of law. These will vary in both thematic focus and in participant groups involved. Some of the events will be open to persons from around the globe to register (via a separate registration process from the 13APBC) while other events and workshops will be conducted through a pre-selection process.

Call for Presentation Proposals
We are currently accepting submissions for proposals for 60- or 75-minute interactive sessions for the 3-5 October Conference that are “Far Reaching Flexible and Fun” in broad areas of pro bono work. All presentation applications must be submitted electronically using the portal submission system https://www.probonoconference.org/call-for-presentations/ before 11:59 pm GMT+7 (Bangkok Time) on 15 April 2025. Notifications for accepted sessions will be e-mailed to primary proposal-submitters by 1-7 May 2025.
