Into the 13th 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat this year, we are delighted to announce that Most Venerable Lapchi Dorzin Dhondup Palden Rinpoche is leading this on-site retreat and Venerable Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche as the Chant Master.
Most Venerable Lapchi Dorzin Dhondup Palden Rinpoche will be giving teaching this year. At all other times, the Om Ami Dewa Hrih mantra accumulation of Buddha Amitabha will be recited single-pointedly. All mantras accumulated will be dedicated for the welfare of beings and world peace.
According to the enlightened intent of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, the 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat is conducted yearly where the six-syllable Om Ami Dewa Hrih mantra of Buddha Amitabha is accumulated 100 million times and beyond.
The ultimate purpose of engaging in the 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat is to liberate all sentient beings of the six realms extensive as space from suffering and to establish them in the state of freedom and all-knowingness through the blessings of the Buddha Amitabha. The recitation of the mantra also brings about peace and joy within one’s mind, dispels all harm caused by the four elements, pacifies all warfare and diseases and delivers this world to peace and happiness. Obstacles, sufferings and adverse circumstances to the lives of sentient beings are pacified, and all virtuous aspirations can be accomplished.
By the virtues of this practice of the Buddha Amitabha's heart-pledge and extraordinary aspiration, oneself and all beings whom we have a karmic connection with, will be reborn in the pure land of Dewachen as soon as they pass from this life.

The life and achievements of Mahamudra practitioner, Most Venerable Lapchi Dorzin Dhondup Palden Rinpoche.
Most Venerable Lapchi Dorzin Dhondup Palden Rinpoche was born in Tibet in 1951 and took refuge in the Triple Gem at a young age.
He has received all the necessary initiations, oral transmissions and special teachings from various esteemed masters.
He took the Bikshu vows from H.H. the Dalai Lama and the Kalachakra initiation. From H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, he received the Five-fold Path of Mahamudra, Six Dharmas of Naropa, Kagyu tantric treasures and many more. From H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, he received 50 empowerments.
From his hometown to Lhasa, he completed a six-month long prostration and meditated in Mebar Cave for over three years.
In 2001, Rinpoche became the Retreat Master of the Lapchi Meditation Center. He also took on the responsibility to restore the Lapchi Rechen Monastery Retreat Center and the revival of numerous dharma text.
In 2003, H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche bestowed him the title of Dorzin of Lapchi. In particular, Lapchi is one of the three most sacred sites of Chakrasamvara.
Presently, Rinpoche is still taking responsibility of teaching as a Vajra Guru in Lapchi that totalled 30 years of his life there. He is indeed a genuine master who lived a simple life entirely dedicated to meditation to benefit beings and is regarded a hidden great practitioner of Mahamudra.
