Since 2013, The She Said Project’s That’s What She Said performances have been inspiring audiences and empowering communities throughout the country with powerful, intimate stories shared by local women. In this inaugural production in Terre Haute, 10 women from the community will take the stage and share their stories of success, joy, hardship, and overcoming barriers. This year's speakers include: Lori Aden, Miren Beristain, Jess Berryhill, Alisa Bonine, Kim McMurray, Debra Olson, Michelle Price, Tammy Schaffer Shike, Haleigh Thompson with Lana Branch, emcee. The show is produced by Bev Merritt-Hicks and directed by Laura Reed.
This is an evening for the entire community to come together and celebrate the contributions of women here in the Wabash Valley (you don't have to be a woman to attend - all are welcome!)
Each That’s What She Said show supports a local nonprofit organization. The nonprofit partners for this year’s show are CODA of The Wabash Valley and The Maple Center.
CODA of The Wabash Valley strives to establish and support a shelter for survivors of domestic abuse and their minor children. They provide Emergency Shelter and Rape Crisis Center Serving Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo Counties.
The Maple Center is a nonprofit integrative health education center that offers classes and workshops in mind, body, and spirit approaches to optimal wellness. We support and honor the individual's rights to a voice in his or her own health care and to be informed about, and have access to, effective complementary treatment approaches.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
