Emer is Northern Ireland’s Brightest comedy star. Emer flawlessly blends laugh out loud musical comedy, devilishly quick wit, and Northern Irish charm. Her hilarious brand of musical comedy combined with a serious talent for captivating storytelling makes for a truly unique comedy performance.
Emer is a four time TEDx speaker, an international award winning science communicator, and a double Irish Radio Award winning BBC presenter. Her debut musical comedy show ‘Emer Maguire: Hilarious Humans’ sold out its entire run at Edinburgh Fringe 2019 with unprecedented demand. Emer has sold out shows across Northern Ireland, performing in iconic venues such as the Ulster Hall, the Grand Opera House, the Waterfront Hall, and the Mac. 2025 sees Emer perform her brand new show ’Notions’ in the Grand Opera House in Belfast.
Emer can be seen and heard across TV and radio. She is regularly featured on BBC radio, and has been a guest on BBC TV’s the Blame Game. She is also the team captain on BBC’s brand new comedy panel show, Hot Takes.
Emer is also passionate about all things communication. She is a qualified speech and language therapist, and as an autistic adult, she is a patron of Lancefield Private Autism Clinic in Belfast.
