Andrew Geraghty was born in Sydney in 1956. His father ran a major Publishing Company and his mum was an art teacher. He was a journalist for 35 years, with The Morning Bulletin, The Courier Mail then Murdoch suburbans in Melbourne.
Moving to Canberra, Andrew switched to editing. He was among the first editors in Australia to produce a nationwide magazine using a home PC. He was a Speaker for Beyondblue for nine years. His first book, 'Assault on the Mind - surviving mental illness' was an autobiographical look at his own experiences and possible ways to cope. His second book, Journey and other poems is a collection of his poetry. The first 15 pages of both books can be viewed free at BLURB.COM. His website is 2risingfalcons.foxart.net.
