I wanted to make a film that brings back your 90s favorite memories. Walk-talkies, bikes, scraped knees, and kind of trouble you can’t undo. My sister Asia was my big inspiration in writing this movie because she was a tomboy at one point of time. Beneath the glow of 90s nostalgia, there’s a creeping unease, a reminder that even in childhood, mystery has teeth.

"Boogie Down" is a fun-first horror film that is an amalgamation of all the things I love in dance, play and film. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with all of my friends on this and I hope it shows. Thank you for watching.
