About this Event
Tunitas Creek a beautiful spread of coastline featuring stunning ocean views and serves as vital habitat for the threatened Western Snowy Plover. If you'd like to spend your Thanksgiving Weekend helping to restore this habitat with a beach cleanup event, come join us Saturday, November 30.
LOGISTICS AND ACCESSIBILITY :
- We will begin with a steep, 1/2 mile walk down a road to our restoration site. We will then walk along a sandy beach picking up and bagging trash.
- Gloves, buckets, and trash picking tools will be provided
- We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty. The work area is exposed and can be quite windy, so be sure to bring plenty of warm clothes.
- Sunscreen, snacks, and hats are also great to have on hand in case the weather gets warm or cold. (If weather conditions are deemed too extreme, this event will be canceled and we will reach out to participants by email.)
- No restrooms or potable water is avalable We recommend that you bring at least one personal water bottle for each member of your group.
- Please note, Tunitas Creek Beach and its parking lot are currently closed to the general public behind a locked gate. Parking is very limitd, sp please carpool. Stay tuned for a followup email describing how to get into the park for our event.

- Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
