Info: Slam: 12 poets/4 rounds. The Flow. ROUND ONE: Each poet will perform their opening piece~3 will be eliminated. ROUND TWO: The 9 remaining poets will perform their follow up piece~3 will be eliminated. ROUND THREE: The 6 remaining poets will perform their follow up piece~3 will be eliminated. ROUND FOUR WINNER TAKES ALL: The 3 remaining poets will perform their follow up piece and a winner will be selected. TIE BREAKER: If there is a tie among 2 or more poets each poet will perform their tie breaking poem. SLAM RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: 1) 3 Mins for each piece with a 10 second grace ( point deduction will apply 2) No reading. Know your piece 3) Clean Mic no profanity. Be a wordsmith 4) Stage Presence 5)Articulation & Clarity, if we can't hear in, we can't score it 6) Crowd Engagement 7) Confidence 8) Original work only 9) No props or music. Your voice is the instrument 10) Judges scores are final.
