Join us the day before Thanksgiving for a youth-led community giveback event hosted by WYLD’s Teen Action Council and The Change Wagon!Our teens are stepping up in a big way as many families in our community face uncertainty around food support. Together, we will be serving free hot meals and handing out canned goods collected throughout November.
We plan to serve more than 100 meals, share the canned food collected during our “No Neighbor Left Hungry” food drive with Wilkesboro and North Willkesboro police departments, and create a space for neighbors to show up for one another before the holiday.
If you would like to donate canned goods or help spread the word, we would love your support. This is youth leadership at its best: serving their community, building kindness, and making sure no neighbor goes without.
All are welcome. Come grab a meal, say hello, and kick off the holiday with community and gratitude.
