This course focuses on Traditional Thai Massage (on the floor) and is great for therapists that already have in introductory knowledge of floor Thai as well as those who haven't jumped into that amazing world yet.
The class is taught by Alethea Shelton, a licensed massage therapist of 21 years. She began her Thai bodywork journey in 2008 and learn the Chuck Duff Method of Northern Thai massage from several courses over the years. She also spent time in Chiangmai, Thailand training with a beloved mentor and Master, Jack Chiaya. Alethea has spent the other half of her life as an acrobatic performer in her own acrobatic horse show (Gladius the Show) and it has given her a special draw towards massage techniques involving movement and stretching. She practices many modalities, but Thai massage is her absolute favorite. Her goal is to bring awareness to all the benefits Thai massage has to offer for every body type, breaking the stigma that Thai massage can only be done on "flexible" people.
Alethea's other interest with Massage Therapy include Ashiatsu, Sound Healing, and various forms of energy work. She is a yoga lover and has 18 horses as her closest family members here in Las Vegas.
