About this Event

Immerse yourself in vibrant landscapes through Plein Air painting. Set against the inspiring backdrop of Barnsdall Art Park, this course explores the dynamic interplay of light, atmosphere, and sense of place in outdoor painting. Students will work primarily with oil paint, developing essential techniques such as color mixing for natural light, expressive brushwork, and compositional framing. Through guided instruction, participants will learn to capture L.A.'s unique blend of urban and natural beauty. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, this class will help refine your ability to observe and translate the ever-changing world around you onto canvas.
