About this Event
TFS Presents: Bluebeard
In the shadowy streets of 19th century Paris, a series of young women are found murdered, gripping the city with fear and panic. The elusive killer, known to the public only as Bluebeard, is quickly revealed as Gaston Morrell (John Carradine), a puppeteer haunted by demons of the past. When the beautiful Lucille (Jean Parker) falls under Morrell's spell, she is unaware of his deadly tendencies, and becomes drawn into a web of danger and deceit. Director Edgar G. Ulmer employs the eerie, fog-bound Parisian setting to maximum effect, creating a tense and claustrophobic atmosphere while skillfully ramping up the suspense. If you're a fan 1940s film noir, don't miss this one!
