About this Event
đ¨â¨ February Exhibition at The Congregation
Texturizer: The Black Fiber Arts
Texturizer: The Black Fiber Arts is a powerful group exhibition celebrating Black fiber artists and the expansive possibilities of texture, material, and handwork. Featuring the work of Cat Washington, Jolisha Jolene, and Yasmin Ali-Reed, this exhibition centers fiber as both medium and message, honoring tradition, experimentation, and contemporary expression.
Through woven forms, layered surfaces, and tactile storytelling, the artists explore identity, care, labor, and legacy. The works invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and engage with the richness of Black fiber practices across scale and style.
