This class cranks out masterpieces! Here’s your chance to take this 2-part workshop where students will create their own textured acrylic floral painting or Sugar Skull and a flower magnet.Students will create their own painting and flower magnet using heavy textured acrylic paint, piping tips and pallets knives. Whether you are a beginner or have experience with piping flowers, textured paints, or pallet knife techniques, you will enjoy this amazing medium, plus you’ll leave with beautiful, dimensional art!
WHEN:
Class 1: Monday, October 14th
Class 2: Monday, October 21st
TECHNIQUES
• Piping flowers and leaves: Learn tips on creating beautiful, piped flowers made of acrylic paint.
• Design creation: Explore mixing acrylic colors with thick acrylic medium and paint to create 3D flowers, stems and leaves.
MATERIALS
Materials are provided for in-class use.
STUDENTS
This class is ideal for those 8 and older. Any student under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. (The chaperoning adult does not need to purchase a ticket unless they are participating in the class.)
INSTRUCTOR
Mandy Blansett Finotti grew up in South Pittsburg, TN, and she came back after moving away for a couple of decades. She is the Executive Director of Arts in the Burg where she loves fostering the arts in the broader community. Mandy's favorite things are spending time with her husband, Craig, and their daughter, AnnaJaymes (AJ), arts and crafts, boating, UT football, camping, and traveling.
