We will create a beautiful 3-D textile corsage using my hand dyed vintage fabrics, lace, trims, buttons and hand embroidery. All materials will be provided including a base and a brooch pin for you to complete your creation. Refreshments will be provided (if you have any special dietary requirements please bring your own)We will start with our base and layering fabrics, laces and trims to create texture which will form the basis of your design. We will use fabric manipulation, scrunching, folding etc to give your work a 3-D quality. You may wish to embellish with buttons, findings, trims and hand embroidery to enhance your corsage. Your work may be framed as a piece of textile art. Either would make a delightful Mother's Day gift.
There will be a large selection of my own hand dyed vintage linens including cottons, linen, damask, crochet and lace trims, broderie anglaise, crochet motifs, ribbons, embroidery silks, mother of pearl and vintage buttons from my button box. This will allow you to create your own unique corsage in a complimentary colour palette.
