Overview of Course
In this class you will make a small textile art vase, you will build a fabric collage using a combination of reclaimed fabrics and fabric art techniques to create a beautiful scenic piece.
What will I learn?
You will be given a scenic themed template that will be a guide to creating the fabric collage and prepared fabric bases to work on.
You will be using applique and simplistic embroidery stitches.
You will be using various hand dyed fabrics, reclaimed printed fabrics, embroidery thread, reclaimed fabrics, voile and reclaimed vintage lace.
You will learn fabric art methods and including fabric painting to make the vase.
This beautifully hand-crafted vase can be used as a keeps sake or give as a beautifully hand-crafted gift.
Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at people who would like to try something new and a creative who would like to have a go at mix media fabric art. It is great for beginners and intermediate sewers no need to be artistic as you will be fully guided on how to make your fabric vase.
Will I have to provide anything?
You will be provided with all the materials needed for the workshop.
Am I ready to start?
If you would like to attend this workshop and join a fun creative learning journey and make a beautifully hand-crafted textiles art wall hanging when you have finished the class and you will learn some mix media methods that are transferable in the fabric art world you are ready to start.
