About this Event
In November, Texas voters will consider a generational investment in water supplies. With their approval, the Texas Water Development Board will receive $20 billion over the next 20 years to enable community investments in water supply infrastructure. Yet this important commitment will stake only a portion of the overall funding needed to secure the water Texas needs to achieve our economic potential. The rest will come from water rate payers, homebuyers, and private industry. Our panel will explore the funding commitment on the ballot this November, how growing competition for water resources is affecting the price of new water, and the expanding role of private capital in building the state's future water infrastructure for municipal and industrial growth.
