On Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:30 pm the Wesleyan Chorale under the direction of Dr. Bradley Naylor, director of choral studies at Texas Wesleyan University, will present a program of music for chorus, organ, and harp. The repertory ranges from traditional works such as “How Lovely are the Messengers” from Felix Mendelssohn’s oratorio St. Paul and “Wolcum Yole” from Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols to contemporary works such as Abbie Betinis’s “Blessed be the Lord, My rock”, written on September 12th, 2001. The central work of the program will feature countertenor Nicholas Garza in Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. The concert is free and open to the public.
