Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’sTexas Waters Specialist Certification Program
This water studies program is available to everyone with an interest in learning about our most precious natural resource: WATER. To achieve Certification as a Texas Waters Specialist, eight hours of training based on the TPWD curriculum guide, Texas Waters, is required.
Information is provided at all TWS class events on how to sign up for reporting.
· Adults18 and over who are Texas Master Naturalists report the class hours to their Chapter as Advanced Training (AT): Texas Waters Specialist.
· Adults who are not TMNs report hours directly to TPWD.
· For High School Students, not yet age 18, class hours are reported directly to The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. as the this program’s sponsor for youth participants.
WG Jones State Forest is a Texas Aquatic Science Certified Field Site!
For all who wish to attend/participate in local classes presented by TWG, registration is required to receive invitations, reminders, and notifications of class dates and locations.
