October 18-19, 2024 at the Gatesville Civic Center located at 301 Veterans Memorial Drive, Gatesville, TX.A gathering of landowners, wildlife managers, trappers, and fur harvesters will be held. This event is sponsored by the Texas Trappers and Fur Hunters Association and the Gatesville Civic Center. Everyone is welcome to attend as instructors from across the Nation will offer free of charge to the public a diversified program of wildlife management techniques. Instructors will demonstrate effective methods to minimize damage from feral hogs, coyotes, bobcats, beavers, and more. Included will be a field trip to a nearby ranch to demonstrate some of these techniques applied in a natural setting, weather permitting. This seminar will be held in conjunction with the Texas Trappers and Fur Hunters Association’s Fall Rendezvous.

The TTFHA is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to public education, to the conservation of the natural resources of Texas, and to the responsibility to coexist with the wildlife of Texas. All hunting and trapping activities are regulated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to ensure a continued thriving population of all wildlife species. Harvesting excess wildlife ensures a stable and sustainable balance of wildlife to habitat ratio. It also reduces wildlife conflicts with humans. Wildlife is a renewable resource. Natural fur is an environmentally friendly alternative to man-made products that are made from synthetic products based on petroleum. Most harvested furs are sold to international buyers. These sales help to lower our Nation's foreign trade deficit. By attending this seminar, you will gain valuable insights into these practices and their benefits, making it a worthwhile investment of your time.
