*MAKE SURE TO EMAIL ME THE SHIRT SIZES YOU WILL BE NEEDING AT [email protected] (shirts are 100% cotton, so keep in mind a slight shrink factor)
For this DIY session we will all be using the ice dye method to make our shirts. For ice dying rather than mixing powderd dye with watter in a bottle or bucket as traditanaly done, we will be folding and tying our shirts, sprinkling poweder dye on top of the shirt, then pouring ice on top of that to melt and saturate the dye into the shirt! You will be leaving your creations at leaf cafe over night to finish melting and curing and then I will be picking them up the next day to finish. Ill be rinsing and washing with a special detergent desinged for first time tiedye washes. You will come in sometime the following week to pick up all of your beautiful creations!
There will be 4 different patterns/designs I will be teaching, the classic spiral and crumble/reflection, snake scale pattern and a heart shirt! Of course you are not limited to just those desings! let that creativity flow!
The shirts we will be using are 100% cotton Gildan shirts so think a little bit about the shrink factor when picking out your size!
Ice dye tends to be a little less messy an more room for error in reguards to getting undesired dye on your clothes. I would still recomend wearing clothes you wouldnt mind a little dye getting on.
